I've made a table of contents for all of those Swamp Thing blog entries on my website, here.

It turns out that I enjoy doing this kind of thing. So, as a follow-up—once I have time—I'll be rereading and writing about Grant Morrison's 1994-2000 SF/fantasy/action/philosophy comic The Invisibles, which was one of my favorite things in the whole world 20-26 years ago. I'm both looking forward to and slightly dreading this.

I'm looking forward to this project - I reread The Invisibles starting back around November and finishing up in January or so (just because, at the time, it seemed like a reasonable thing to do.).. It will be interesting to see if your observations resonate with mine.

you keep teasing me....

(meanwhile, much sympathy on the question of patience for revisiting Moorcock - I had real trouble many months ago with finishing The Whispering Swarm - I knew better than to expect a "hero" but the intersections of the protagonist's flaws and issues having to do with a friend's divorce were just damn ugly...)

*sigh* The lead character in Whispering Swarm (I hesitate to call him a protagonist) may or may not have ... "occult powers" ... but it's not like he uses his ability to cross into the past/a different timeline *for good*, this being Moorcock: wife in one timeline/dimension, mistress/girlfriend in another and he baldly states about the situation something like "My ego had never been in better shape."

*spits*
