Okay, one more thing about Eddy and Marisol. Possibly the funniest line readings by both of those actors are at the end of a scene where the sisters, before leaving in a huff, have told Eddy that the bar needs to improve its image by ditching the name and the very old sign (La Chinita—literally "little Chinese girl" but also used in various ways that kind of imply all Asians are the same—with an illustration of a geisha). Eddy absorbs this politely but with obvious confusion. Marisol then stops by and the dialogue goes roughly like this:
M: (just curious) Why are you fuckin' with your sign?
E: Uh, apparently it's racist?
M: (figured everyone knew that) Well yeah, it's racist as fuck, but why are you taking it down now?
